Ishtar
“Once I take your essence, I will sit on the throne, and make a world in my own image!”
~ Ishtar
Ishtar is one of the Chaos characters of The Veil, given the power by YHVH without her knowledge to consume every essence of every demon she defeats. In one cycle she consumes nearly every demon’s essence, and even Lucifer allows her to consume his in hopes that Ishtar will defeat ??? or Adam Kadmon.

Low Complex Multiverse level (Far above Mother Harlot, who is simply an aspect of Ishtar whose existence stems from her own. Could strengthen Aleph’s party with a portion of her power. Perceives the world of Catherine as a story which she can pause, resume, and control at will, frequently referencing its status as a fictional narrative that she observes from outside and addressing the player as the entity that controls the events depicted in it.) | Low Complex Multiverse level (After being constantly supplied with Magatsuhi, she is stated to possess the same power she did over 5000 years ago, equal to her apex of strength.) | Outerverse level (Exists as an archetype, a shapeless, fundamental unit of the collective unconscious inhabiting the realm of Atziluth, beyond the concept of dimensions entirely, and yet to be shaped into a lower state by the thoughts and emotions of humanity.) | Outerverse level+ (While supplied with nearly every demon essence, Lucifer described her as “An anomaly that now stands above those that could previously command even the fundamental laws of the cosmos… this impossible force you now hold, shatters the very notion of hierarchical power, redefining what it means to be truly free.”)

A set of skills that, as the name implies, allows the caster to greatly amplify their own physical attributes and reduce those of their foes, closing or even reversing the gap in power between combatants. Outside of gameplay limitations, they can be stacked indefinitely, and sufficient uses of buffs allow the caster to survive attacks that would otherwise obliterate them with only minor injuries and amplify their speed to the point of completely outpacing opponents that could previously predict all of their movements, while debuffs have a directly proportional effect on the enemy’s statistics.
- Heat Raiser: Increases her own strength, defense, and speed by one rank.
- Concentrate: Ishtar holds back her own power, allowing her to launch a charged attack with far greater offensive power than her normal strikes.
- Silent Prayer: Removes all statistic modifications, both positive and negative, from herself and all foes and allies.
The highest class of spells in the Megami Tensei franchise and by extension the FATE The Veil story, consisting largely of powerful non-elemental attacks that have the special property of completely bypassing any resistances or immunities that a target may possess, whether innate or magically enforced, including reflective barriers and items that distort the very laws of the universe to protect the user from all forms of damage. They likewise cannot be blocked, dodged, or drained.
- Megidolaon: Unleashes a wave of destructive energy dealing heavy damage to all foes, tapping into the pale light of divinity that reigns over destruction itself and engulfing them in “the complete annihilation beyond death.”
